It comes in waves

The bathroom is a private place where the naked body is the center of attention. Inspired by the wave bath swing invented in the 19th century, the work „It comes in waves“ approaches the ritual of bathing as well as the poetry of analog photography. The title refers to the magic of image creation - whether in the tilting rhythm for film development or in the tubs set in motion by hand in the darkroom. Both the sound material and the photography have the passing of time inscribed in them. As the viewer in the exhibition space comes closer to the objects made of ceramics, they bob performatively in the exhibition space, while the photochemistry they contain oxidizes in the air over the period of the exhibition and remains as a trace in the ceramics.
